  • Powerful tolerance and strong reduction in the multiplication of nematodes
  • Suitable for all soil types and harvest dates
  • Recommended in January 2016

Strube Sugar Beet’s Davy variety provides a new alternative in the battle against Beet Cyst Nematode (BCN), with powerful tolerance to the pest and a strong reduction in the multiplication of the nematodes.

Recommended to the new BBRO/BSPB 2017 Descriptive List in January 2016, Davy has shown good sugar yields in the last three years of national trials in uninfested conditions – equal to the mean of the control varieties.

Davy sugar beet offers the following attractive characteristics:

  • Good establishment
  • Strong uniform growth
  • Suitable for all soil types and harvest dates

Davy is not suitable for earlier drilling, so if you require a BCN tolerant variety for drilling in the first half of March, then you should look to Strube’s Thor, which has the lowest bolting of all BCN varieties.
